Lawn Bowling

We finally made it over this weekend to do some lawn bowling at Kelvingrove Park.  The kids had a blast!  There is a white bowl called a jack, that sits out in the grass.  Each player has four bowls and rolls them to try and get the closest to the jack.  The tricky part is that the bowls are asymmetrical so as they roll, they follow a curved path.  The bowls are heavy for their size so it was a little more difficult for the boys to roll them.  Alyssa could barely lift the bowl so we helped her roll hers.  We did pretty well for being beginners.
